Yeah I’m feelin’ a little broken lately considering I sprained my ankle and it currently looks like there’s a tennis ball in it. Although it is better than it was a few days ago. I’m in such a rut because I couldn’t exactly enjoy the last few days of homecoming week and I’m going stir crazy from just sitting around. I just want to work out. And wear heeeeeels. (#TSM).

Luckily, I have 94 wonderful sisters to help me out 🙂 But there’s nothin’ like getting pampered from my family. So I had to skip on on the end of Homecoming and head home for the rest of the weekend. I’m having a love-hate relationship with that decision. But having the top bunk on the third floor while Sig Ep comes in to wake us up in the middle of the night just didn’t scream fast ankle recovery to me.

So anyway, I’m pumped to be blogging again, even though I have no idea when I’m going to have this kind of time again. So here’s some new workout thinspiration! Remember to stay fit the healthy way 🙂

I’m so over any type of fears or judgements. Seriously, I’ve realized anyone can do anything they want to do. I’ve had such a fulfill-your-dreams kick lately, and I know that there are plenty of reason to not just go for it (whatever it is) in life, but I’m so over it! I just want to do what makes me happy, all the time.

Speaking of which, I heard that there is a GPS where Cartman is the voice. Someone pleeeeasseee find this and give it to me immediately.

And for the more sophisticated in the crowd, check out this article on the word “whatever”. It totally changed my outlook on the word. Nevertheless, I will still always quote South Park’s “Whatevveerrrr, I do what I want!!”


Life Lessons from Bro Tips

To be fair to all of the bro’s out there, almost every guy I hang with it in a fraternity. That being said, there is a difference between a fratty bro, and a BRAH. Normally I’d say something entitled “bro tips” would have to be considered part of the lame bro category that TFM would make fun of, but some of them were actually inspirational. In my defense I found these on pinterest.

In case you are unaware of what “that guy” is, read this. Caution: if you are unaware then you are “that guy”. (Can be referring to a female). If not, read the article anyway, it’s hilarious! Via Thought Catalog. (Which I follow on Twitter and is increasingly becoming my favorite thing to read online).

White Ink

So, I have a nasty burn on my right forearm that was from a metal cross but has morphed into what more than a few frat guys haven’t failed to point out looks like a boner. Since I really don’t think it’s ever going to heal, I’m going to get a white ink tattoo outlining it so you can tell it was a cross, and then get words under it (also in white ink). I’m not sure exactly what phrase I want yet, because I am such a huge believer of mantra’s and I have sooo many that I live by. Here are some cute ones I’ve found.

Blondes Have More Fun!

I don’t know who came up with the phrase “blondes have more fun”, but we for sure do! I’m blonde! I used to dye my hair all the time in middle school and the beginning of high school. I’ve seriously tried every color. Then I went back to my natural dark brown (well, I should say black) for yeeaarrrs. I really liked the long, dark, Kardashian look. At the same time, my ex boyfriend said he hated blondes. Not going to lie it felt a little liberating 🙂

Speaking of changes, my sister Chrissy and I just got a free week at Bally’s. I’m so motivated, especially considering all of the weddings I need to look good for.

(Love her makeup.) I’ve never had a problem with sweets. It’s salt and carbs that get to me. I usually eat pretty balanced meals, that is if someone is cooking for me. Up at school I struggle a lot to find things that are easy, cheap, good, and are made in small portions so I don’t have to eat leftovers all week. So I began to mindlessly snack a lot. And let me tell you it’s a hard habit to break. Not to mention being in a sorority has landed me a lot of friends in fraternities, and that obviously comes with drinking large quantities of beer.

I recently downloaded the “My Fitness Pal” app on my iPhone, and it’s awesomeee! I love how easy it is to track what I eat and what exercise I do. I had no idea how much I really ate.

I’ve never had a problem sticking to a plan, it’s getting started I suck at. So hopefully now that I’ve began I will feel healthier and happier. I’m seriously such a strong believer in a holistic approach to health.

I guess the only issue I ever do have with working out is that I expect results that just aren’t attainable for my body type. I have big hair, big hips, and a big butt. I’m of Italian blood and I’ll never be tall and skinny. And although the high school version of me would never be able to say this, I’m gradually becoming okay with this fact.

It takes a lottttt of maturity and patience to be able to be okay with your limitations. Especially if you are like me and are always trying to better yourself in order to be the best.
