Vanity

Alright so I’m going to show you guys what I did for these crafts:

Bought this frame at Good Will for under a dollar. I originally wanted to just do the inside yellow and keep the gray border, but the spray paint kindof got everywhere and it just turned out to be a hassle.

So I had a paper towel by this to wipe the spray paint off my hands, and the wind blew it onto the frame and made these weird marks and when I tried spray painting over it, you could still tell. So I just did it all over and it ended up looking kindof cool.

I couldn’t figure out how to get the hooks into the frame to hold the necklaces so I just hooked them over the top. It looked great for recruitment, but it ended up being kindof a pain in the ass, so it’s currently being unused on the top shelf of my closet. I’m going to take it home to have my Dad help me over break. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

How to Make a Shared Room Cute (Sorority / Dorm Room)

So, when you share a room with 3 other people and have to deal with 2 bunk beds and numerous dressers and everyone’s shit, you have to make it cute, especially for sorority recruitment. My sorority house is a Historical Landmark, so we can’t paint or do anything to make it look more modern because it has too look like it originally did. I have a love-hate relationship with this fact because I loveeee modern decor. Here’s what I did to make my little niche cute.

Keep checking back to see the rest of what I did for my room!

Belated Thanksgiving Post

My Thanksgiving break couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m in that point of the semester where I’m just about checked out of school. It seems almost everyone I’ve talked to is in that same boat, which is comforting (knowing I’m not alone) but also kindof bad. I was so excited to see my family and do some Black Friday shopping. My dad and sisters surprised me by building me a room! When I went off to college my youngest sisters used to share a room but one of them took my old room, so when I’d come home for breaks I was sleeping on the couch and it sucked. Not gonna lie, I definitely let everyone know how much I hated it. But I never in a million years expected anyone to do anything about it! It’s not completely done, and I’m excited because I always need a project to work on and it has become my winter break project for this year. I’ll for sure have a lot of pictures up.

Here is some random Thanksgiving stuff I came across online and liked. Keep checking back because I’m FINALLY going to post all of the furniture up-cycles I’ve done, and a bunch of awesome gift ideas from our initiation week.

You could have Thanksgiving anytime with this single serving sweet potato!

I have so much to be thankful for 🙂 Especially all of my followers! Thanks for the supportttt.

I don’t have a tutorial for this one, but it sure is pretty! Leave a comment if you know of a tutorial.

Aww! Just nail holes into a can. You could spraypaint the can too.

Here’s the tutorial for this one! I’m thinking about putting this in my room up at school 🙂

I love this diluted shade of light blue lately. I don’t know how to describe it because it’s not exactly baby blue, but it’s not a light teal. All I know is it’s very pretty 🙂

Upcycle – All That Glitters is Gold :)

Step 1: Find ugly old trunk
Step 2: Spray paint gold and cover in glitter!

Since my job is up on campus, I have become pretty much completely broke from all of my traveling and then Summerfest. That kindof makes it hard to get excited about redecorating because I don’t have money to just totally redo everything. So I’ve found solace in upcycling. This hideous green trunk was from my days as a gymnast, going to camp for the summer. I found it in my dad’s basement, and beautified it! Now I’ll have a nightstand, a place to store my crafts in my room at school, and a pretty statement piece that I’m sure people will notice when they walk in the room! Can I get a triple threat!? 🙂

Reading Corner

Since I’ve been kindof bored back home, all I can think about is going back up to the cities for school. I’m supppper excited to decorate my room. I decided instead of a desk which I never seem to use, I want a comfy reading corner instead! Here’s some inspiration, plus other random room inspiration!

I seriously wish I could afford a new piece of furniture so I could do this exact thingggg with all my heels!

I don’t know what it is about this that inspires me, I think maybe it’s the bright colors.

I feel like if I tried this it would definitely cause a fire some how. But it looks pretty!
