Falling into winter :)

It’s that time of year when everything is all happy and cliche and I’m not going to lie I’m one of those obnoxious people who gets super into it. I’m talking like Christmas Pandora has been playing in the quad since before Thanksgiving Break. I probably could’ve posted about halloween and Thanksgiving and stuff, and I’ll do that sometime, or maybe I’ll wait until next year. All I know is, I had an extremely successful Black Friday experience in which I acquired a new snowboard and it’s basically been the only thing on my mind ever since. Either way, I love this time of year, I love the fact that it’s almost my birthday, and I’m about to see friends and family and most importantly not have school for a month. Loveeee the sound of that.

I still have yet to decide on a major or anything. For now I just plan on staying in school forever.

I just have so many fricken awesome ideas of ways to make money but none of them involve any major in the college I’m in. I’m thinking I should just switch to business and go somewhere with some of my ideas and make money off that n then be a pilot or an artist or whatever it is I feel like doin at that time. It sucks that I have to put all of my time and money and energy into studying for finals of these stupid lib ed classes I’m in right now that I do not care about at all whatsoever.

Needless to say, the Packers are still kicking ASS and are undefeated and I’m loving it. I don’t even care that the Brewers fucked up n didn’t get to go to the world series, I’m over it. The badgers are still good enough to at least beat MN every time they play them, and the Pack is what I really care about. It’s still WINsconsin to me. 🙂

Most importantly, I have a pretty important birthday coming up that I am sooooo excited for. I’m amped because my birthday always means Christmas is right around the corner, which means so is New Years and boarding season. I basically love my life.

Peaceeee.

Pilot

I don’t know what exactly the point of this is but I saw it and thought it was hilarious seeing as I love airplanes and I’m from Wisconsin and therefore I love cheese.
Okay so I have a bunch of appointments with advisors and other random people within the next few weeks because I absolutely have to pick a major. I just want to do everything so I can’t pick just one thing. I have all of my lib ed’s done after this semester and it’s like extremely necessary to decide on what I want to do with my life and I have no idea. It might seem out of character because I’m such a creative soul but my absolute dream job would to be a pilot but I can’t do that at my school. Ahhh.

Just so everyone is aware, this exact flower thing [below] is going to be at my wedding. So go ahead and use this as inspiration too, but I’m just letting the public know ahead of time that I called it!

White Ink

So, I have a nasty burn on my right forearm that was from a metal cross but has morphed into what more than a few frat guys haven’t failed to point out looks like a boner. Since I really don’t think it’s ever going to heal, I’m going to get a white ink tattoo outlining it so you can tell it was a cross, and then get words under it (also in white ink). I’m not sure exactly what phrase I want yet, because I am such a huge believer of mantra’s and I have sooo many that I live by. Here are some cute ones I’ve found.

I love this diluted shade of light blue lately. I don’t know how to describe it because it’s not exactly baby blue, but it’s not a light teal. All I know is it’s very pretty 🙂

You just gotta check out The Holy Nail. Amazing!

Edit: New Dress!

The strap on the red dress was super loose and annoying and wouldn’t stop falling down so I decided to change into this dress from Charolette Russe 🙂

I stumbled upon these and I loveee it! This is what I originally intended on doing with all of the pictures I have saved. I wanted to print everything I see that I like and put it in a book. I love how it looks visually, how all of them have themes and color schemes. It looks artistic, even though it’s basically just a collage of random things.

Get along little doggie, get along

So I really want to get a dog. If I weren’t so broke right now I would like this week. One of my friends up at school just got another dog and I’m so jealous. Being home and hangin out with my family’s dog has made me really want one!

My family’s dog, Brie.

I wonder if the house I’m living at this year allows dogs? I just want to make this cute dog collar:

Martha Stewart’s How-To:
1.Use an upholstery needle and thimble to stitch half of a snap to the collar.

2.Stitch the other half of the snap to the base of a fabric flower. Those with a flat fabric bottom are easiest to work with. If your flower has a plastic base, just sew through a petal or two as close as possible to the base.

When I get a dog, it’s definitely going to be a German Shepard. I love big and intelligent dogs. I’m not a little-dog type person. I feel like I’d accidentally step on it. I think I’ll get it from a humane society. Brie is from the Milwaukee Humane Society, and we’ve never had any problems with her.

Martha Stewart’s Homemade Dog Biscuits

Makes About 5 Dozen
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup brewer’s yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 tablespoons canola oil
1/2 cup low-sodium canned chicken stock, plus more for brushing

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, wheat germ, yeast, and salt; set aside

2. Place oil in a large bowl. Add stock and flour mixture in three alternating batches, beginning and ending with stock. Mix well.

3. On a lightly floured work surface, roll out dough to about 3/8-inch thick. Shape biscuits using a dog-bone-shaped cookie cutter or by cutting around a store-bought dog bone with a butter knife.(Make biscuits that are appropriate for your dog’s size.)

4. If desired, you can spell out your dog’s name or a holiday message in the dough with a toothpick (wet the toothpick first so it won’t stick).

5. Transfer to parchment-lined baking sheets. Repeat with remaining dough.

6. Bake biscuits 10 minutes. Brush with stock; rotate baking sheets, and bake 10 minutes more. Turn off oven, leaving door closed. Let dog biscuits stand in oven to dry completely, about 1 1/2 hours. Wrap as a gift, or store in an airtight container at room temperature.

I think that this is a pretty fricken cool idea and I think it’d be kindof cool to make these bags for something other than dog poop as well haha. I’m not sure what though.
